Welcome. I'm glad you stopped by. For over thirty years, I've been researching and writing about adult life: work and love, coming to terms with our fathers, the tensions, joys, and hopes of parenting. As a psychotherapist, I've been particularly interested in such questions as: What is good psychotherapy? What stages and developmental challenges do we face as we age?
And, too, I've been trying to figure out my own life. It seems the more I know, the more I un-know. I've tried to make my website reflect that knowing and un-knowing. You'll find professional/scholarly writing and whimsy and some stuff in between. You can decide which is which. "Provocations" has opinion and speculation, political, social, and personal. "Fiction" is just that, my attempt to explore mystery and uncertainty through imagination, also known as short stories. "Bookstore" offers you a chance to purchase my books and audio materials.
